Forum‑1 was inspired by an iconic neon sign that was displayed inside the Centre Pompidou in Paris. This project was born from that spark.

I’m Francesca, and Forum‑1 is my ongoing photographic journey through light, places and life. All captured on film. I shoot primarily with a Leica M6, a 35mm Voigtländer lens and plenty of patience, mostly in black and white, sometimes in colour, always chasing moments or the quiet tension in everyday scenes.

Photography, for me, is a way of slowing down and paying attention to the rhythm of a city, to the detail of a face, to the theatre of a street corner at dusk. I started on a Pentax ME Super, wandered into digital, and then found myself again in the grain of analogue film.

The name Forum‑1 isn’t just a nod to a location. It’s a statement of intent: a place of exchange, curiosity and play. Like a forum, this space is open to learn, to test, to make mistakes, to return to the same subject with different eyes.

This photography journey would have never started without the guidance of an extraordinary photographer, my boyfriend. His encouragement, daily teachings and suggestions, ideas, talent and outstanding photography work are my North Star and daily inspiration.
